This is for YOUR well-being. If you can't get yourself right with the world you can't move forward. I send a prayer on your behalf and hope you find peace with your decisions.

Counseling is the only answer at this point. However if you ever feel you or your son are in danger you need to leave or he does.
I speak from experience.
There is alot more going on than just a trip. That was just the trigger.

This post had to be hard to write. You were very courageous to do it. Living in fear and under someone who is oppressive and so harsh is no way to live. Please seek counseling at a minimum for you and your kids. I hope your hubby will go, too. I will pray for you and your family.

Wow. I can relate! Just remember they are his issues affecting your life. It's hard. Whatever you do don't give up your trip. You both will regret it. It will make you bitter. He has to deal with "his" issues. All you can do is just support him through it. I admire your courage.

Ooooh, my sweet blogger buddy, I'm soooo deeply sad for you. I think Sweet Old Vintage is right in that you need to seek counseling - both of you. As she said, I don't feel qualified to give any advice when the situation is so serious but I shall certainly pray for you. Please please please, seek help. I think your hubs needs prayer also. Get help immediately. Truly, I am deeply distressed about you at this time, sweet chick. Keep us posted.
